Why write a vampire book for the Christian market?

Long before I knew of Twilight, I had written the Charlotte Marries a Vampire screenplay for a faith-based film production. To me, the comedy and vampire elements were a way of showing how Believers sometimes treat sin. At first, it’s merely entertained, then it grows to something bigger (and worse) than expected. Then others are swayed by the justification of its existence until the obvious is oblivious. Since the beginning of time, sin has always been notorious for wreaking its havoc of destruction under the pretense of something it’s not. Just ask Eve! Like the serpent, our vampire antagonist bites with deception.
