Reset or Rewind: Why can't we leave the past behind?
With all the options we have to erase the past, why is it that 'going back' is a frequent action of humans? Maybe one reason is that our memory bank can serve as our protection. Like animals that have a natural defense mechanism such as the shell of a Tortoise or a Chameleon's camouflage, humans have memory -- processing experiences at super speeds that worked favorably and those that didn't. While we don't want to get stuck in the past, Rewind has its place -- especially for those of us who don't have a chance to Reset a situation like our heroine Charlotte does in her story.
